Music business can also be defined as a music industry which operates within the organizations where musician compose and perform the music. There are several issues facing by the music industry. It is the industry in which companies and individuals make money by creating and selling the music. The major reason behind the recent development in this industry is the use of digital technological equipments. Initially artist made money from record selling, album selling etc. but somewhere it is the major reason behind the decreasing profits of this industry. The profits of music industry have been fallen 60 percent in the last decade. One of the major reason behind this is that when music was made of polyvinyl chloride, it was hard to steal (Lieb, 2013). But with the changing time downloading and sharing music files becomes it easy to copy. The present study is mainly concern about the digital technologies that have changed the music business. It is the major problem facing by several music composers. Most of the time consumer see the DRM methods as overly restrictive and it is mainly employed in the music and movie industries. Traditional copyright law by obsolete in practice determines at the time when people try to download the file from the internet over file sharing network  (Seifert and Hadida, 2006). Most of the time they have downloaded the copyrights songs from a free file sharing network instead of buying the CD. It is perfectly legal for them to make a copy of it for their own use. Streaming services is one of the contemporary practices that are being followed in music industry with the rise in technological advancements and it gradually helping musician and music company in minimizing the chances of piracy and thieving. No doubt cost is not for accessing music but internet cost is the one that needs to be incurred every time. They can provide the high quality sound to all their customers. It will help them in increasing their market share and profit margin. Therefore, it can be state that streaming services possess both advantages and disadvantages to different participants (Wikstrom, 2014).
